Facility | Something that is built, installed or established to serve a particular purpose. |
Field Greens | A menu term referring to baby lettuces |
Fiesta | A Spanish word meaning "party" |
Filbert | An alternative term for a hazel nut |
Filet Mignon | A tender cut of meat from the small end of the tenderloin. It is a great meat choice for high dollar events as it is very tender and holds well if cooked properly |
Flaky | A term usually used to discuss a layered, buttery pastry crust |
Flat Room Rate | Basic rate with no discount or special offer. |
Floor Plan | A scaled drawing showing the arrangement of tables, buffets, bars, dance floors etc. |
Florist | A company or person with great ability in flower procurement and floral design |
Flowers, Edible | Flowers that can be used for garnish directly on plates and in salads. These flowers include; chive blossoms, some orchids, lavender, daisies, jasmine, pansies, chrysanthemums and most fruit blossoms. They are available at flower shops, the flower mart and high end grocery stores like Gelsons or Bristol Farms |

Fruits de Mer | French term meaning "fruits of the sea" referring to a mixture of sea foods |
Fugu | Japanese word for blow fish. This fish contains poison and can be deadly if prepared incorrectly |
Function | An event that is part of a planned meeting; an area of meeting planning that involves income or expenses (printing, registration, etc.) |
Function Space | Physical space occupied by an event. |
Funnel Cake | A deep fried pastry that is popular at summer events and barbeques |
