Catering Tips and Tricks - Party Theme Ideas
HALLOWEEN PARTY THEME
The spookiest night of the year can be downright terrifying if spent alone--so invite all your friends and family over to celebrate together! Everyone loves to show off a great costume, and a Halloween party is sure to be full of tricks and treats for everyone. What's more, a Halloween party is an excellent way for kids to safely enjoy this holiday, even if they live in rural areas or rougher neighborhoods.
Decoration & Music
Orange and black are the colors of the day, but be sure to put in those few spooky touches. A black cat here or there, cobwebs in the corners, and monster-shaped candy jars will turn any house into a haunted house! To top it off, sound effects tapes of creepy Halloween sounds playing in the background can perfectly set your atmosphere.
Meal
Halloween is typically associated with candy, but that doesn't have to be all you serve. You can pick healthier alternatives like caramel apples, and even show kids how to make and decorate their own! With a little creativity, you can come up with a whole gross-out menu of monsterrific snacks: use cold noodles as werewolf brains, peeled grapes as zombie eyes, and chicken tenders as monster fingers, just to start.
Activities
Trick or treating is the traditional Halloween activity, and is safest to do in groups. Bobbing for apples is another great way to sneak a healthy snack into this junk-food holiday. Finally, judging a costume contest is a great way to let everyone show off their creativity and style--just make sure you get a prize for all your little ghoulies!
